Pangea charity hike

Our charity challenge.

We're excited to announce that the hike is complete and we have exceeded our donation target, raising a total of £2,672. This was all in support of the incredible work done by SolarAid!

CSR/SolarAid

Back in 2022, our team took on the Three Peaks Challenge, raising over £2000+ to help SolarAid bring clean, safe solar light to families and communities across parts of Africa. These lights are a lifeline for the families we helped, enabling children to study after dark, allowing businesses to thrive, and providing a safer environment for all.

Inspired by the difference our last challenge made, we laced up our boots once again for another hike in early June 2025. Our team took on the stunning Snowdonia in Wales, another incredible UK peak that was full of breathtaking views and plenty of challenges.

We're delighted to say that we have reached our donation target from our recent hike in aid of SolarAid, raising £2,672. We're immensely proud of this achievement, helping to provide clean, safe solar light across sub-Saharan Africa.

To date, Pangea have helped raise over £6,000, which has resulted in 401 solar lights reaching 2,134 people.

We want to give a huge THANK YOU to anyone who has kindly donated to any of our fundraisers and those who went on the hike.

About SolarAid.

SolarAid believe that everyone deserves access to clean, safe solar power, no matter where they live.

For millions of people across sub-Saharan Africa, the working day ends when the sun sets.  But, they know there is a simple solution – solar lights. At the flick of a switch, solar lights allow families to earn, children to learn, and the planet to breathe a bit easier.

Working alongside rural communities, entrepreneurs and development partners, SolarAid develop creative and innovative solutions to ensure that every home, school and clinic has access to clean, safe solar power.

Their vision: for a world where everyone has access to clean, renewable energy.

A world where farmers can sort through their harvest even after the sun sets, where children can study and realise their dreams, where midwives can deliver babies safely through the night and where the planet can breathe a bit easier.

SolarAid is working towards a world where the poorest and most remote communities aren’t left behind. Where entrepreneurs have access to the resources they need to expand their businesses, create sustainable income and light up their communities at the same time.

Their mission: to light up every home, school and clinic in Africa by 2030, using safe, clean, solar power.

Together, we are making light work.
