The Opportunity
An established international energy trading platform is seeking an experienced Battery Optimisation Originator to help build and expand its battery optimisation and route-to-market business across Europe.
Working alongside experienced trading, analytics, and optimisation teams, you will originate and structure commercial agreements for battery storage owners, developers, IPPs, and infrastructure investors.
This is an entrepreneurial role offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a rapidly expanding battery optimisation platform.

Working alongside experienced trading, analytics, and optimisation teams, you will originate and structure commercial agreements for battery storage owners, developers, IPPs, and infrastructure investors.

Key Responsibilities
- Originate and secure battery optimisation and route-to-market mandates across European power markets
- Focus Markets: Germany, France, Spain, Italy (with broader European coverage)
- Build relationships with battery developers, asset owners, IPPs, utilities, and infrastructure funds
- Structure commercial agreements including tolling, revenue-share, and hybrid optimisation models
- Develop and manage a pipeline of optimisation opportunities
- Collaborate with trading, analytics, and optimisation teams to deliver tailored customer solutions
- Support the growth and expansion of the optimisation business across Europe
- 5+ years' experience in battery optimisation, route-to-market services, energy trading, or structured energy products
- Strong understanding of European power markets and battery revenue streams
- Experience negotiating and structuring commercial optimisation agreements
- Established network within the battery storage and renewable energy sector
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business development capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Fluent English required; additional European languages are beneficial
- Base salary up to CHF 250,000
