We’re partnering with an early-stage battery materials startup based in Boston that’s already making waves in the industry. With a revenue-generating product, over 30 customers in validation, and plans for a commercial pilot line by 2026, this team is growing quickly—and looking to bring on a Battery Scientist/Engineer to help drive their lab-scale testing and validation efforts.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the lab. If you’re passionate about working directly with cells, iterating on testing protocols, and helping commercialize real battery materials—not just publishing papers—this is a chance to make a direct impact.
About the Role:
This is a highly hands-on position focused on testing and evaluating lithium-based cells using novel liquid electrolytes. You’ll work closely with the R&D and product teams to iterate on formulations, refine protocols, and generate high-impact performance data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Build, test, and analyze lithium-ion battery cells using in-house electrolyte formulations
- Execute and refine electrochemical testing protocols in dry cell environments
- Work collaboratively across product and lab teams to improve performance and reliability
- Maintain rigorous lab documentation and testing workflows
- Experience in lithium-based battery testing and dry room protocols
- Hands-on lab experience with cell builds and performance validation
- Strong academic background in electrochemistry, materials science, or a related field
- Specific exposure to liquid electrolyte systems and formulation work
- Pilot line or scale-up exposure
- Early-stage startup or R&D lab experience
