Commercial Analyst – Decommissioning – North Sea
Location: Aberdeen - Hybrid - occasional travel to office.
Type: Contract - £400/Day Inside IR35
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst / Commercial Lead to support North Sea assets, with a strong focus on administration of Decommissioning Security Agreements (DSAs) across existing and legacy fields. The role will act as a commercial focal point for a range of agreements and will interface with internal stakeholders and external operators.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Analyst / Commercial Lead to support North Sea assets, with a strong focus on administration of Decommissioning Security Agreements (DSAs) across existing and legacy fields. The role will act as a commercial focal point for a range of agreements and will interface with internal stakeholders and external operators.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years commercial experience in the UK North Sea
- Hands-on experience with Decommissioning Security Agreements (DSAs), including administration of key obligations
- Strong track record negotiating a range of commercial agreements
- Comfortable working in a small team and engaging with internal/external stakeholders
- Knowledge of North Sea players, infrastructure, and commercial context
- Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Review operator calculations submitted under DSAs, ensuring:
- DSA terms/assumptions are followed
- expert referral is triggered where required
- Manage and coordinate security requirements with local and central stakeholders
- Ensure security is provided and received in accordance with agreements
- Track and update exposure across legacy / previous fields
- Support responses to government decommissioning plans (including letters of support)
- Track and respond to Section 29 notices
- Work with AR local and US teams; provide regular updates on progress and exposure

- Transportation agreements
- Proximity agreements
- JOA-related matters
- Pipelines / crossings / related infrastructure agreements
Skills
- Strong commercial judgement, analytical capability, and contract interpretation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication (written + verbal)
- Highly organised; able to manage multiple workstreams with accuracy
- Strong Excel / PowerPoint (preferred)
