About the Role
My client designs, powers, cools, secures, and connects the technology infrastructure supporting many of the world’s leading hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. With operations across North America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific, my client has redefined data center design to achieve exceptional reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. Their flexible environments are built to scale rapidly in response to evolving market demands.

The Site Operations Department oversees the overall health and performance of all mechanical and electrical systems, building maintenance, and data modules within the data centers. The team operates on a 24/7 onsite model, staffed by Critical Facilities Technicians/Engineers (CFTs/CFEs) working in shifts.

This team serves as the primary point of contact for customers and plays a vital role in ensuring business continuity and operational excellence across the campus, as well as optimal performance of customer installations.
Using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule and track maintenance activities, the department manages all preventative and corrective maintenance efforts. The culture emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and proactive engagement with both customers and facility infrastructure.

Position Overview

My client is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician who understands and delivers best-in-class service. This role is a key member of the facilities team responsible for managing some of the industry’s most efficient and cost-effective data center environments.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers to perform maintenance and repairs on critical data center infrastructure. Maintaining uptime is a top priority, and facilities are upheld to the highest standards to ensure uninterrupted service for customers.
This role involves working on mission-critical systems, including UPS systems, PDUs, diesel generators, ATS equipment, building control systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure such as power distribution components, wiring, electronic systems, and lighting.
If you take pride in getting it right the first time, understand the importance of maintaining mission-critical environments without disruption, and are motivated to deliver exceptional customer service, this opportunity may be an excellent fit.
