HSE Manager

We are recruiting an experienced HSE Manager to join a leading company specialising in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and construction/commissioning projects within the critical infrastructure and data centre sectors across Europe.

Start Date: Mid/End of May 2026
Duration: 6 Months initially with likely extensions
Locations: Heroya & Drangedal - Norway

Role Overview:

• Develop and enforce HSE policies specifically tailored to MEP and construction/commissioning activities, ensuring strict compliance with Norwegian and international safety standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety audits focused on MEP installations, equipment handling, and commissioning processes.
• Lead safety management for construction and commissioning teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols during complex installation phases.
• Provide targeted safety training to MEP and commissioning personnel, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and report findings with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure ongoing compliance during all project stages.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven track record in HSE management within MEP construction and commissioning environments.
• Knowledge of Norwegian and European safety regulations specific to construction and MEP works.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar.
• Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to influence safety practices across multidisciplinary teams.
