We are supporting a leading financial institution specialising in electronic trading across global fixed income, currency, and commodities markets. Our client are looking for a Lead Java Developer based in New York. They focus on delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that enhance trading efficiency, security, and scalability.

- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance US Treasury/Rates electronic trading systems.
- Collaborate closely with traders, analysts, and tech teams to deliver reliable, low-latency solutions that support business growth and compliance.
- Provide technical mentorship and ensure best practices across the development lifecycle.
- Strong proficiency in Java (Core & Advanced), including multithreading and concurrency.
- Experience with fixed income trading systems and messaging protocols such as FIX, MQ, or JMS.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, low-latency programming, Spring Framework, and SQL.
- Understanding of distributed systems, market conventions, and risk management.
- The candidate will have previous experience in building FICC trading platfrom applications.

- For an investment banking client based in New York, the position offers a salary range of up to $180,000 - $225,000 annually.
