About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Noise & Vibration Engineer to support data centre projects across Europe, with a particular focus on generator systems, power generation and rotating equipment.

Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months+ extensions
Location: Remote working with business trips accross Europe

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out noise and vibration assessments for data centre and power-generation environments.
  • Analyse vibration from diesel generators, engines, alternators and associated rotating equipment.
  • Conduct acoustic and vibration measurements during testing and commissioning.
  • Investigate excessive noise, vibration, resonance and equipment movement.
  • Assess vibration transfer through foundations, structures, pipework and mechanical systems.
  • Review and recommend anti-vibration mounts, isolators, inertia bases and flexible connections.
  • Assess noise from generators, exhaust systems, cooling equipment, fans and pumps.
  • Support generator commissioning and performance testing.
  • Produce technical reports, assessments and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Work closely with engineering, commissioning, project and client teams.
  • Support site investigations and troubleshooting across European data centre projects.
  • Ensure installations meet required acoustic, vibration and project performance criteria.
Key Experience
  • Strong experience in noise, acoustics and vibration engineering.
  • Experience within data centres, power generation, industrial facilities or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of generator vibration, rotating equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with vibration monitoring and measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of acoustic testing and noise measurement/analysis.
  • Experience assessing structural and mechanical vibration.
  • Generator/genset experience, particularly with large diesel generator installations, would be highly beneficial.
  • Engineering qualification or equivalent technical experience.
  • Willingness to undertake business travel across Europe.
