Power Analyst

A fast-growing commodities trading firm in Zug/Zurich is building an in-house analytics function and is hiring a Power Analyst to sit very close to the front office, partnering daily with traders. The remit is broad and project-based, with a primary focus on European Power.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front-office analytics to support trading decisions day-to-day.
• Work across a varied, project-led pipeline, spanning:
  • European Power (core focus)
  • Cross-commodity projects (Gas/LNG/Carbon) as needed
• Build and enhance models, tools, and datasets that improve desk decision-making.
• Translate commercial questions into clear, actionable analysis for traders and stakeholders.

Required background

• 3+ years’ experience in trading analytics / quantitative analysis / data-driven market analytics.
• Front-office trading environment exposure.
• Strong analytical + coding skills.
• Strong academic background preferred.
