Prop Gas Trader

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Prop Gas Trader for a leading energy trading firm based in Switzerland. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on proprietary fundamental gas trading within a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will manage an individual trading book with significant autonomy, working closely with a dedicated analytics team to optimise trading strategies.

Role Overview:

• Manage proprietary gas trading activities, focusing on the European markets, particularly Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
• Utilise fundamental market analysis, including meteorological data, to inform trading decisions.
• Collaborate with a team of traders, analysts, and data specialists to drive profitable trading strategies.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in European Gas Trading, ideally 7+ years.
• Strong knowledge of CWE gas markets and long-term trading experience.
• Previous experience at a trading house or energy company is highly desirable.
• JKM/HH gas market knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
