Senior Commercial Originator Germany

We are representing a leading energy infrastructure company committed to advancing sustainable energy solutions across Europe. Currently, they are seeking an experienced professional to join their team in Germany as a Senior Commercial Originator, focusing on battery energy storage projects.

This role is being advertised on behalf of a client actively developing large-scale energy storage assets and seeking to maximise revenue streams through innovative commercial strategies.

Overview of the role:

• Lead the Route-to-Market function for a portfolio of battery energy storage assets in Germany.
• Develop and negotiate toll contracts, offtakes, and hedge products to de-risk revenues.
• Manage relationships with Route to Market providers, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Support market entry strategies and optimise access to existing markets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and compliance.
• Drive strategic partnerships and contribute to the company’s growth in Europe.

Required experience and skills:

• Proven experience in energy market origination, preferably within large-scale energy storage or renewable projects.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Knowledge of energy trading, hedging, and contractual structures.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Fluency in German and English.
