Senior Power Originator - French markets

We are representing a leading energy company with a strong presence across Europe, committed to sustainable and innovative energy solutions. Currently, they are seeking a skilled professional to join their Paris-based origination team.

Overview of the role:

• Originate, structure, negotiate, and execute long-term Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) offtake agreements and other non-standard power contracts.
• Support pricing strategies for BESS revenue streams, including ancillary services and optimisation.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of non-standard power, multi-commodity, and Guarantee of Origin (GoO) contracts in France.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporates, utilities, IPPs, developers, investors, banks, and traders.
• Monitor market and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.
• Oversee the full deal lifecycle from origination to ongoing contract management.

Required experience and skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in French power markets with front-office commercial exposure.
• Proven expertise in BESS origination and battery offtake agreements.
• Strong understanding of ancillary markets and asset optimisation.
• Experience with non-standard power contracts, PPAs, EFET/ISDA.
• Fluent in French and English, with excellent communication skills.
• Proactive, relationship-driven approach.
