About the Role
Our client, an integrated oil company with global refining and downstream supply activity are looking to hire a Supply Manager & Biofuels Lead to help shape their commercial strategy amid their continued growth in the biofuels market.

You will lead the development and execution of biofuels supply, market analytics and optimisation strategies across a diverse portfolio. Providing market intelligence, forecasting, economic analysis and strategic support to the business ensuring decisions are commercially sound and aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team covering supply and market analytics.
  • Develop and implement supply and logistics strategies that improve flexibility, optimize costs and enhance commercial returns across the group businesses and joint ventures.
  • Provide senior management with market intelligence, including supply-demand fundamentals, trading flows, inventories, logistics activity, market structures, arbitrage opportunities and forward price assessments.
  • Own and enhance dynamic forecasting and analytical models used for budgeting, long-term planning, supply optimization, investment evaluation and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the company’s biofuels and renewable energy strategy, supporting compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
  • Establish analytical frameworks to evaluate renewable fuels and feedstocks, including pricing, availability, production economics, margins, supply-demand balances and regional arbitrage.
  • Identify and assess strategic investment, acquisition, divestment and commercial opportunities, working with corporate strategy, planning and business development teams to quantify value and supply-chain implications.
  • Support negotiations and commercial transactions relating to downstream supply, logistics, refining and other strategic opportunities.
  • Develop and oversee appropriate commodity and supply hedging strategies within established risk-management and delegated-authority frameworks.
  • Advise on supply economics and commercial decisions, translating market developments and forecasts into actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor the financial and commercial performance of supply and logistics activities and identify measures to improve profitability and resilience.
  • Maintain strong external relationships with industry specialists, consultants and market participants to ensure access to relevant market intelligence and best-practice thinking.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with corporate policies, governance requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and ~ 10+ years in oil & energy
  • Strong knowledge of biofuels and the energy transition
  • Excellent analytical and commercial judgement; 
  • Proven leadership skills 
  • Investment analysis / M&A exposure is a plus
