About the Role
We are representing a leading organisation in the energy sector, specialising in global supply, trading, and logistics across a diverse range of products including fuels, feedstocks, and biofuels. This dynamic company is seeking to strengthen its team with a talented Commercial Analyst, supporting market analysis and trading strategies.

Overview of the role:
  • Support the commodity trading team by conducting market and fundamental analysis to provide actionable insights.
  • Develop and maintain models to monitor market drivers such as supply/demand, infrastructure, and trade flows.
  • Prepare presentation materials and lead discussions on market fundamentals with traders and analysts.
  • Collaborate across teams to share intelligence, develop market views, and identify new opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Global Commodity Business Plan and perform performance reviews of trading activities.
  • Drive or participate in digital analytics projects and commercial initiatives.
Required experience and skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, trading, or market data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, trade flows, and data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate multiple options and influence decision-making.
