Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers to support the delivery of mission-critical data centre projects. The role focuses on commissioning standby and prime power generation systems, with strong hands-on experience in MTU (Rolls-Royce Power Systems) generators. Experience with COMAP control systems is considered highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute commissioning activities for data centre electrical and power generation systems in line with project requirements
- Commission MTU / Rolls-Royce diesel and gas generator systems, including engines, alternators, control panels, and auxiliaries
- Support FAT, SAT, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) within live or near-live data centre environments
- Verify generator operation under normal, emergency, and fail-safe conditions
- Perform synchronization, load sharing, and load bank testing
- Troubleshoot electrical, control, and mechanical issues during commissioning
- Coordinate commissioning activities with clients, OEMs, contractors, and commissioning authorities (CxA)
- Produce commissioning scripts, test results, punch lists, and handover documentation
- Ensure all works comply with data centre standards, safety regulations, and project quality requirements
- Proven experience commissioning data centre or other mission-critical facilities
- Strong hands-on experience with MTU / Rolls-Royce Power Systems
- Solid understanding of data centre electrical infrastructure, including generators, UPS, switchgear, ATS, and EPMS
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and control philosophies
- Willingness to work on site and travel as required
- Experience with COMAP controllers (configuration, programming, diagnostics)
- Knowledge of generator paralleling, synchronization, and black-start sequences
- Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, and EPMS systems
- Experience working with hyperscale or colocation data centre clients
