We’re representing a well-established, international energy trading firm with an expanding presence in the U.S. power and gas markets. They’re looking to hire a Compliance Specialist to support their U.S. power trading platform, building and owning day-to-day regulatory and market compliance coverage across the major ISOs/RTOs and relevant exchanges, and partnering closely with Trading, Risk, and leadership.

Overview of the role:
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements across major US wholesale electricity markets, including ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, SPP, and ISO-NE.
- Act as a key point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters, providing guidance to trading and operational teams.
- Monitor regulatory updates, support internal compliance processes, and assist with audits and reporting activities.
- Promote a strong culture of compliance and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Energy, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in compliance within power, energy, or financial trading sectors.
- Deep understanding of US power and gas market regulations, including ISO/RTOs and energy exchanges.
- Familiarity with FERC, CFTC, PUCT, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Excellent communication skills and proactive approach.
