Country Director – Hungary

I am partnering with a growing renewable energy platform to appoint a Country Director to lead its Hungarian operations. This is an opportunity to take a senior leadership position and drive the growth of an international renewable energy business in Hungary.

The role carries responsibility for country P&L, cash flow, operations, people and external stakeholder management. As the company’s senior representative in Hungary, you will play a key role in shaping and executing its local growth strategy.

You will build and maintain relationships with utilities, regulators, corporate buyers, contractors, landowners and other key market stakeholders, while providing valuable local market and regulatory insight to support investment and portfolio decisions.

Desired profile:

• Strong knowledge of the Hungarian energy market
• Previous Country Director, Country Manager, General Manager or equivalent experience
• Proven P&L and commercial leadership
• Strong regulatory and stakeholder relationships
• Experience leading teams and operating within an international organisation

The Opportunity:

• A high-autonomy position offering country-level leadership, executive exposure and the opportunity to shape the growth of an international renewable energy business in Hungary
• Take full responsibility for the Hungarian business, including P&L, cash flow, operations and organisational performance.
• Shape the market strategy by influencing local investment, portfolio and energy-management decisions through your market and regulatory expertise.
• Work directly with the CRO and senior European leadership as the company's senior representative in Hungary.
• Drive growth in renewables, join an international renewable energy platform and play a pivotal role in developing its Hungarian presence.
