About the Role
Pangea is partnered with a leading investment manager in the energy transition / renewables space who is hiring a Portfolio Manager into their London team to help protect investor capital and drive strong, sustainable returns across a diverse private markets portfolio. You’ll take day-to-day ownership of high yield private debt investments across multiple renewable technologies, with a focus on high-quality analysis, disciplined monitoring, and proactive risk management. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with ownership, curiosity, and collaboration, and who’s looking to progress within a high-performance investment environment.

THE ROLE
  • Own day-to-day management of an assigned portfolio (relationship management, financial analysis, cashflow modelling, covenant testing, and early risk identification).
  • Review and challenge management information; monitor sector/adviser updates to maintain credit quality and flag emerging issues.
  • Track performance versus business plans, borrowing bases, and key financial KPIs.
  • Review transaction/legal documentation and ensure appropriate portfolio governance; liaise with internal/external counsel as required.
  • Support senior team members in commercial negotiations and documentation processes.
  • Maintain senior-level communication with borrowers, sponsors, management teams, and advisers to build long-term relationships.
  • Produce and present high-quality investment memos, quarterly portfolio reporting, and Investment Committee materials with clear recommendations.
  • Partner closely with internal Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure reporting, monitoring, and execution are timely and robust.
  • Provide oversight/support to junior team members.

THE CANDIDATE
  • Strong infrastructure investing background with good knowledge of energy transition / renewables.
  • Excellent financial analysis skills and ability to apply judgement beyond the numbers (risk, structure, and commercial context).
  • Portfolio management experience (credit analysis and/or commercial portfolio management), with exposure to Investment Committee processes.
  • Strong organisation/project management skills (end-to-end execution with multiple stakeholders).
  • High attention to detail and ownership of data quality, accuracy, and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (clear, concise, constructive).
