Project Director - Data Centres

We are representing a leading international consultancy specialising in large-scale infrastructure projects. Currently, our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to oversee a flagship data centre development in Frankfurt, Germany. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity focused on delivering a complex 27MW data centre programme with an initial timeline of approximately three years, with ongoing work in the region.

Role Overview:

• Lead as the client representative on a major data centre build, coordinating design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. You will run the whole project, cradle to grave, with six direct reports under you.
• Manage project governance, reporting, risk, and stakeholder engagement.
• Act as the primary interface between the client and main contractor, ensuring scope clarity and timely decision-making.
• Support technical workstreams and promote health, safety, and quality standards.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary: €160k - €190k (negotiable based on experience)
• Bonus: Available
• Additional Benefits: Travel allowance, company car, 8% pension contribution

Required Experience & Skills:

• Proven track record managing large-scale construction projects, ideally data centres or mission-critical assets
• Experience working directly with main contractors and client-side delivery teams
• Strong understanding of MEP/TGA interfaces and complex asset delivery
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and risk mitigation skills
• Fluency in German, English speaking as well ideal.
