We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Site Manager with a strong background in critical power systems, large-scale generator installations, and data centre infrastructure. The role involves leading complex, multi-site projects across Europe for hyperscale data centre clients, ensuring safe, on-time, and compliant delivery from design through commissioning.
The successful candidate will bring hands-on leadership, deep mechanical and electrical expertise, and proven experience working with global OEMs and Tier 1 clients such as (for example) Google and Microsoft.

Project & Site Management
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Site Manager with a strong background in critical power systems, large-scale generator installations, and data centre infrastructure. The role involves leading complex, multi-site projects across Europe for hyperscale data centre clients, ensuring safe, on-time, and compliant delivery from design through commissioning.
The successful candidate will bring hands-on leadership, deep mechanical and electrical expertise, and proven experience working with global OEMs and Tier 1 clients such as (for example) Google and Microsoft.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Site Management
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of critical power projects, including design coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Manage large-scale generator installations, including preservation works and factory acceptance testing (FAT)
- Oversee multi-site data centre projects across the UK and Europe
- Plan and control programme, resources, logistics, and materials to meet strict deadlines
- Provide strong on-site leadership to multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, commissioning)
- Conduct daily whiteboard briefings, DABS meetings, and safety briefings
- Motivate teams and foster a proactive, solutions-focused site culture
- Coordinate with clients, OEMs, subcontractors, and local authorities
- Champion HSEQ standards, ensuring full compliance with UK and European regulations
- Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Ensure SMSTS-led site safety practices are embedded and maintained
- Maintain accurate site records, permits, and documentation
- Provide technical oversight for mechanical and electrical installations, including system integration
- Support consultancy activities related to renewable technologies and energy storage systems
- Prepare operation & maintenance manuals and handover documentation
- Contribute to problem-solving, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives

- Factory acceptance testing in European manufacturing facilities
- Critical infrastructure projects across Europe.
- Extensive experience as a Project Manager / Site Manager within critical power, data centres, or heavy M&E infrastructure
- Proven track record delivering large generator and backup power systems
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- In-depth knowledge of UK and European standards
- SMSTS certified
- Ability to work and relocate across Europe
- Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
- Mechanical & electrical installation and commissioning
- Generator systems (Cummins, CAT, Rolls Royce/MTU)
- Data centre critical power environments
