Position: Project Manager
Location: Eemshaven, Groningen
Contract Duration- 12-24 Months
About the Role
We're hiring a Project Manager to join our team, supporting one of our largest global customers on a flagship data centre programme in Eemshaven, Netherlands.
This hands-on role will see you lead the delivery of high-value projects (€20M+) across Thermal, AC Power, Switchgear, Busbar and Infrastructure Solutions, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency from installation through to commissioning and handover.
You'll act as our on-site representative, coordinating contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding results for mission-critical facilities.
You'll be measured on revenue forecasting accuracy, budget control, escalation management, and overall financial oversight of your projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of project delivery including planning, installation, start-up,commissioning, and testing.
- Coordinate daily activities between contractors, technical teams, and the customer.
- Own the financial and budget management of your projects, ensuring accurate revenue forecasting and cost control.
- Monitor project progress, resolve on-site issues, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Manage escalations effectively, acting as the calm and decisive point of contact when challenges arise.
- Navigate complex stakeholder relationships with confidence, including direct engagement with demanding clients who communicate in English.
- Conduct pre-site meetings, provide technical guidance, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Maintain documentation, site reports, and communication updates for stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction on all projects.
What You'll Bring

Essential:
- Data centre experience. This is critical and non-negotiable.
- Proven track record managing high-value projects (€20M+ budgets).
- Strong financial and budget management expertise with a focus on forecasting accuracy.
- Experience managing challenging stakeholders and navigating complex client relationships.
- Technical knowledge of both Power and Thermal systems (at minimum a solid foundational understanding).
- Fluent English communication skills (the client operates in English).
- A technical qualification in Engineering or Construction Management (degree or equivalent).
- 5+ years' experience managing complex electrical, mechanical, or data centre projects.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manage multiple workstreams on site.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.
- A valid driving licence and willingness to work on site in Eemshaven.
Highly Desirable:
- Dutch language skills (beneficial for day-to-day team integration).
