Senior Gas Trader

We are representing a leading energy trading company specialising in gas and power markets across Europe. As part of their ongoing growth, they are seeking to expand their team with experienced professionals in the energy sector.

Role Overview:

• Prop trading role focusing on European Gas Markets
• Develop and implement trading strategies, managing your own speculative book.
• Monitor market fundamentals and adjust positions accordingly.
• Good risk management skills - Significant VaR depending on candidate profile 
• Team is currently in the build phase, candidate must be confident with own analytical skills

Required Experience and Skills:

• 7-8+ years of relevant utilities or energy trading experience.
• Proven expertise in EU gas markets, particularly PEG TTF, with NWE familiarity preferred.
• Strong understanding of risk management, including VaR and cash deployment.
• Background in European gas trading, ideally pre-2022 trading activity.
