A leading global technology research organisation is seeking a Senior Engineer – Power Magnetics & Module Design to join its advanced R&D team. This is a unique opportunity to join a world-class R&D environment in Vienna, Austria, working on cutting-edge power electronics technologies that will help shape the future of AI-driven and next-generation data centre infrastructure.
This role focuses on the design and development of next-generation high-density power modules and board-level power solutions, including IVR/FIVR, VRM, PoL converters, and DC-DC power architectures for high-performance computing applications.
Key responsibilities include:
This role focuses on the design and development of next-generation high-density power modules and board-level power solutions, including IVR/FIVR, VRM, PoL converters, and DC-DC power architectures for high-performance computing applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and optimising advanced power magnetics, inductors, transformers, and embedded power modules
- Developing high-frequency switching solutions (MHz range) to improve power density, efficiency, and thermal performance
- Supporting advanced packaging technologies, PCB/substrate embedded magnetics, and 3D integration concepts
- Performing multi-physics simulations (electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical) and validating designs through prototyping and testing
