About the Role
Tax & Financial Reporting Specialist

An exciting opportunity has become available with a growing international business investing in large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects across North America.
We're looking for a tax professional who enjoys variety and wants to broaden their experience beyond traditional tax compliance. This role offers exposure to U.S. and Canadian taxation, financial reporting, tax equity structures, investor reporting and cross-functional finance projects, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Working closely with senior finance leaders and external advisors, you'll help support a portfolio of complex entities while contributing to the ongoing growth of the business across North America.
This is a broad role that combines technical tax responsibilities with financial reporting and business partnering. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting tax compliance activities across U.S. and Canadian entities, working alongside external advisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Assisting with the oversight of U.S. partnership structures and investor reporting requirements.
  • Contributing to the review of U.S. clean energy tax incentives, including Investment Tax Credits (ITC) and other renewable energy tax programs.
  • Supporting tax reporting, current and deferred tax calculations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting activities, ensuring tax-related balances are accurately reflected.
  • Partnering with finance, accounting and treasury teams on a range of operational and strategic projects.
  • Supporting statutory audits and helping maintain a robust financial control environment.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and streamline reporting across the finance function.
About youYou'll bring a combination of technical capability, curiosity and a collaborative approach to your work. We're interested in candidates who have:
  • At least 4 years experience in tax, accounting, audit or financial reporting.
  • An understanding of U.S. partnership taxation and how partnership structures operate.
  • Exposure to U.S. clean energy tax credits, including Investment Tax Credits (ITC), or a willingness to build knowledge in this area.
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and tax reporting principles, with exposure to partnership or tax equity accounting viewed favourably.
  • Experience working with external advisors, auditors or multiple stakeholders
Why join? This position offers far more than a traditional tax or accounting role. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of technical and commercial activities while working within a collaborative international finance team.

Highlights include:
  • Exposure to complex U.S. tax equity and partnership structures.
  • A varied role spanning tax, accounting, financial reporting and business partnering.
  • The opportunity to work on projects that support the growth of renewable energy and infrastructure across North America.
  • Direct collaboration with experienced finance professionals and external specialists.
  • A supportive environment that encourages professional development and continuous learning.
  • Genuine scope to expand your responsibilities as the business continues to grow.
If you're looking for a role where you can apply your tax knowledge while developing broader commercial and financial reporting experience, we'd love to hear from you!
