Overview of the role:
As a Senior Front Office Risk Manager, you will be responsible for advising senior management on key risks across the trading portfolio, developing real time risk assessments, and supporting new business initiatives. You will lead a team, ensuring effective risk quantification and mitigation strategies are in place and facilitate critical decision making processes.

Required experience and skills:
- Over 10 years of experience in risk management or trading within an energy trading firm, investment bank or hedge fund.
- Proven ability to manage and develop risk functions, with direct interaction with traders, originators and senior management.
- Expertise in quantifying risks related to vanilla and exotic options, with knowledge of risk measurement tools such as VaR and stress testing.
- Solid experience within physical commodities markets, with a strong understanding of the associated commercial and operational risks.
- Expereince in managing a team and training junior risk team members.
- Experience managing or approving new business and/or products.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and VBA.
- Knowledge of energy products (Power, Gas, LNG, LPG) is advantageous.

- Act as a role model to other members of the team and foster a positive working environment
- Excellent Written and verbal communication skills to prepare and present material to senior executives on a weekly basis.
- Interpersonal skills to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to function in a small and dynamic team and provide cover for other team members.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science
- Preference for MSc, CQF, PRM, FRM or ERP holders
- Advanced analytical and quantitative skills to identify and quantify key portfolio risks.
- Strong Excel and VBA skills, particularly ability to analyse complex data.
