Site Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Site Manager to lead and coordinate electrical installation, commissioning, and delivery across major data center projects. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Medium Voltage (MV) distribution, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, and critical power infrastructure typical of mission-critical environments.
You will oversee all electrical activities from pre-construction through to final client handover, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and project execution.

Duration: 12–18 Months

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management & Coordination

• Lead and manage all electrical installation and commissioning works on site.
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery.
• Plan and sequence works in line with the overall project programme.
• Interface daily with project management, design teams, and client stakeholders.

Technical Oversight

• Oversee installation and testing of MV infrastructure (e.g., 11kV/33kV switchgear, transformers, RMUs).
• Manage LV distribution, UPS and battery systems, standby generators, metering, and BMS integration.
• Review electrical drawings, technical documentation, and schematics.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure design intent and quality compliance.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Champion site health & safety standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, company policies, and client specifications.
• Maintain accurate QA records, testing documentation, and inspection reports.

Commissioning & Handover

• Support and witness commissioning activities for key electrical systems.
• Drive punch list closure and defect resolution.
• Prepare handover packages including as-built documentation.

Leadership & Reporting

• Provide leadership and technical guidance to on-site electrical teams.
• Report progress, risks, and key issues to the project team.
• Mentor junior team members and encourage a collaborative working culture.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

• 5–10 years managing electrical delivery on data center, mission-critical, or industrial projects.
• Demonstrated experience with 11kV/33kV systems and static/rotary UPS technology.
• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, grounding, and commissioning processes.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent technical understanding of electrical systems and controls.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication abilities.
• Ability to review and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project/site reporting tools.
