I’m currently working exclusively with a global power generation corporation, who work across multiple sectors bringing to life projects. They are currently looking for a HSE Manager to oversee the commissioning of generators on a Datacentre project in Groningen.

- Develop and enforce HSE plans, procedures, and risk assessments specifically for genset installation and commissioning activities.
- Oversee safety during load bank testing, fuel handling, engine start-up, synchronization with electrical systems, and blackout testing.
- Conduct job safety analysis (JSA) and permit-to-work reviews related to electrical energization, fuel systems, and confined spaces.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant electrical safety regulations (e.g., lockout/tagout, arc flash protection).
- Lead daily HSE briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning sessions tailored to commissioning risks.
- Coordinate closely with commissioning engineers, OEM reps, and subcontractors to align safety expectations and requirements.
- Monitor and inspect genset testing zones for fire hazards, noise exposure, emissions control, and emergency preparedness.
- Investigate incidents or near-misses during commissioning and develop detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure environmental controls for diesel storage, fuel transfer, and spill prevention are in place and effective.
- Maintain detailed HSE documentation and participate in regular audits and progress reviews with project leadership and clients.
- NEBOSH Certificate (Construction or International) or equivalent required.
- 5+ years experience within HSE.
- Familiarity with commissioning phases of data centres and mission-critical environments is highly preferred.
- English language, Dutch Language desirable.
