I'm currently working with a leading power generation comapny who specalise in providing back up power to critical digital infrastructure proejcts. They are looking for a lead commissioning engineer to join them on on of their proejcts in Frankfurt.
Duration: 12 Months (6 month rolling contract) with likley extensions

Work Scope:
- Execute and oversee commissioning activities for standby generator systems (diesel/gas), including auxiliary systems such as fuel systems, exhaust systems, and controls.
- Carry out full function testing of generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), synchronisation systems, and load testing (resistive/reactive).
- Interface with UPS systems, switchgear, BMS/EMS systems, and power distribution components to ensure seamless integration.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, commissioning scripts, and manufacturer manuals.
- Document commissioning processes, develop commissioning reports, issue test results, and obtain client sign-off.
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform fault analysis during start-up and testing phases.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) as needed.
- Provide technical support for project delivery, site coordination, and handover processes.
- Degree, diploma, or time-served apprenticeship in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in generator commissioning within data centres, critical infrastructure, or industrial environments.
- Proven experience with generator control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, protection relays, power generation, and distribution.
- Experience working in live, critical environments with strict change management procedures.
