My client is looking to hire a Senior Business Development Manager BESS to join their Development & Projects team. In this role, you will develop the business case from identifying the business opportunity to transaction closing. Be the key interface between different stakeholders, managing the business case and preparing the decision-making inputs for Executive Board decisions.
Main responsibilities:
▪ Managing and executing transactions focusing on BESS
▪ Ownership of the business case - opportunity identification, assessment, valuation, due diligence, negotiations and closing
▪ Cross-functional coordination with legal, tax, technical, trading and project teams to ensure smooth execution and internal alignment across all phases of the transaction
▪ Developing a robust opportunity pipeline and maintaining a strong business network, establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to accelerating acquisition of business opportunities in our core markets
▪ Identifying, monitoring and anticipating business strategies, market trends, risks and opportunities
▪ Being a part of an exciting growth story and contributing to the success of energy transition in Europe
Desired Experience:
▪ 5+ years’ experience in a relevant business development/M&A function in the utility scale energy industry or energy fund.
▪ Profound understanding and proven track record in financial modelling, valuation principles, structuring of investment decisions and relevant risk assessments
▪ Strong skill and track record in commercial deal negotiation and deal structuring
▪ Ability to build trust and relationships in a complex and diverse environment and positive energy to shape, motivate and drive success across diverse teams and stakeholders
▪ Ability to prepare and write decision making documents for C-Level audience
▪ Excellent project management and communication skills
▪ Fluent speaker in English and German
