Vice President of Data Centre Construction

We are supporting an international developer specialising in large-scale, high-density data centre campuses across Europe in the search for a Vice President of Data Centre Construction.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced construction professional with a strong track record in delivering complex, large-scale data centre projects. The role will take ownership of end-to-end construction delivery, leading contractor strategy, driving programme execution, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

The Role
The successful candidate will oversee construction activity across major data centre campus developments, providing strategic leadership from planning through to execution and completion. Working across internal and external stakeholders, this individual will play a critical role in shaping delivery strategy, managing risk, and building high-performing project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end construction delivery of large-scale data centre campus projects
• Define and implement contractor strategy across multiple phases of development
• Drive programme execution to ensure milestones, budget, quality, and safety targets are met
• Oversee contract negotiation and commercial engagement with key delivery partners
• Identify and mitigate construction and programme risks across complex project portfolios
• Provide leadership to internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Support the continued growth and development of construction capability within the business

Requirements

• Proven experience leading large-scale data centre construction programmes
• Strong background in hyperscale builds and complex campus-style developments
• Demonstrated capability in contract negotiation and contractor management
• Excellent understanding of risk management in major construction environments
• Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Experience operating at senior or executive level within mission-critical construction environments
