Mechanical Engineer

We are representing a up and coming project delivery company currently operating in the Datacentre space. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of complex, mission-critical construction projects in Poland on a contractual basis.

Start: End of May/June
Duration: 12 Months with likely extension



Key Responsibilities

• Design and review HVAC and cooling systems, including CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and cooling towers
• Develop and implement thermal strategies to maintain optimal performance of critical environments
• Produce and review mechanical drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
• Coordinate effectively with electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines
• Oversee installation activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design intent, quality standards, and safety requirements
• Support testing, balancing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvement in energy efficiency (including PUE optimisation)
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

Key Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
• Proven experience in data centres, HVAC-focused, or mission-critical infrastructure projects
• Strong technical understanding of cooling systems, air distribution, and heat load management
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE and CIBSE guidelines
• Proficiency in design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and IES
• Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
